Where Innovation Meets Automation

Bold Beginnings

Scott Hendrickson, our Founder and CEO, began his automation career in 1985 at Osram-Sylvania where he was part of their Robotics Team. In 1988, Scott joined Parker Hannifin’s newly formed Automation Division where he had commercial and technical responsibilities for clients in the New England markets.

In 1998, Scott was sponsored by Parker Hannifin to start a new Automation Technology Center (ATC) in the Pacific NW. Olympus Controls slowly expanded its technology offering to include the complementary products – safety, vision, robotics – that clients needed to design and develop automation systems.

Applied Automation Territory

Around The Corner and Around The Globe

By the mid-2000s, Olympus Controls evolved to become one of the strongest players in the Pacific Northwest automation market. Due to this success, we started to work with our supplier partners to add more geographical markets to address areas where they needed better market coverage. We executed this expansion strategy by investing in both organic start-ups and also by acquisitions.

Today, we have multiple offices across the Western United States and we serve and support clients worldwide, including The Americas, Europe, and Asia. As a subsidiary of Applied Automation, our network of local technical experts expands even further with physical offices covering the majority of North America.
